There’s something uniquely satisfying about laying real Yorkshire stone beneath your feet—a texture, tone, and timelessness you simply don’t get with mass-produced alternatives. And every now and then, a truly special batch surfaces that connects tradition, practicality, and opportunity in one neat bundle.
At Hardy Landscaping Supplies, we’re thrilled to offer just that: a rare cache of new sandstone flags, originally quarried by the renowned A.D. Calverts in the heart of Wensleydale, North Yorkshire.
These flags have a story. Mined from one of Yorkshire’s most respected quarries—whose family history in stone dates back over 100 years—they were held in storage in Bradford, waiting patiently for their moment to shine. Now, as part of a stock clearance initiative, they’re finally seeing the light of day.
Whether you’re working on a cottage patio, a garden seating area, or creating subtle contrast around raised beds or pathways, this batch of stone brings versatility and character. And with roughly 50 square metres available, it’s just the right quantity for a mid-sized project without overspending.
Availability is limited, and given the provenance and price, we don’t expect it to last long. If you'd like to see the stone in person or reserve a batch for a client project, just give us a ring or drop us a message.
