Mild Steel Edging delivers commercial‑grade strength and is fabricated in the UK to a high standard. Additionally, this metal edging comes in two practical formats designed for straight lines and smooth curves.
6mm Thick Edging
The 6mm edging provides robust strength for straight edges and flexible shaping for large curves. Additionally, 6mm edging forms a five‑metre diameter circle when curved on site. Each 6mm section comes in three‑metre lengths, with six‑metre lengths available for larger orders.
3mm Thick Edging
The 3mm edging offers a discreet profile and excellent flexibility for tight curves and angled layouts. Moreover, 3mm edging forms a one‑metre diameter circle when curved. Each 3mm section comes in two‑metre lengths, with four‑metre lengths available on request.
Joining System
The pre‑attached joining system creates almost invisible joints between edging sections. Additionally, each section arrives unrusted and develops a natural rust finish within six months.
🔧 Fixings and Accessories Included
Each edging section includes welded stake sleeves and bolts on the unseen side. Additionally, you receive all fixings required to join the next section securely. 40cm stakes are supplied for fixing every 70cm, ensuring strong and stable installation. Therefore, you have everything needed to create straight lines or curves on site.
Prefabricated corner pieces provide sharp 90‑degree bends for precise layouts. A joining kit is available when trimming and re‑joining edging on site.
📏 Edging Depths
We recommend burying half the edging for driveways and paths. Additionally, bury one third of the edging for borders. Therefore, your required visible upstand determines the correct edging height.
Available depths include:
- 75mm (3mm and 6mm)
- 100mm (3mm and 6mm)
- 150mm (3mm and 6mm)
- 200mm (6mm only)
- 300mm (6mm only)
Minimum order quantities apply based on section length.
🚚 Delivery Information
Express delivery normally arrives within ten working days, subject to stock. Standard delivery normally arrives within twenty‑one working days. Self‑employed couriers handle most deliveries, allowing longer lengths to be transported. Edging is offloaded by hand unless bearers are requested in advance.

🔩 Joining Kit Details
The joining kit is required when you cut and re‑join edging sections. Each kit includes a pre‑drilled plate, nuts, bolts, and a drill bit. You will need a drill to create bolt holes. Additionally, you can position the plate low on the edging to hide bolt heads. Kits are available in Mild Steel and Corten for a perfect match.
