You stop puddles forming, prevent ruts, block weed growth, and lock the gravel into the cells to create a hard‑standing finish. You can also use DRIVE for shed bases, hot tub bases, and gravel patios because the system carries significant weight.
Installation
We recommend preparing a smooth, level surface so the grid sits evenly across the entire area. Compact your sub‑base thoroughly, then lay a 10–15 mm layer of sharp sand beneath the grid to create the ideal foundation for a perfect gravel surface.
Storage & Handling
We secure the sheets to their pallet with banding and shrink‑wrap to protect them during transport and handling. When your delivery arrives, use a forklift or pump truck to unload the pallets onto a flat, level surface. Cut the shrink‑wrap and banding with appropriate tools, then lift the lightweight DRIVE sheets off the pallet and carry them to the installation area.
PPE
We recommend wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when installing CORE DRIVE, including strong safety boots or shoes, protective eyewear, durable gloves, and ear protection if you use loud cutting equipment.
Health & Safety
To comply with the Health and Safety Regulations 1981, ensure your construction site includes a fully stocked first‑aid box, an Appointed Person responsible for first‑aid arrangements, and a trained First‑Aider with an HSE‑approved qualification. Display clear information on site showing workers who the Appointed Person or First‑Aider is and where to find them.
Fire Protection & Stability
High‑density polyethylene (HDPE) offers excellent fire‑safety performance. It resists ignition, does not easily catch fire, and self‑extinguishes once you remove the ignition source.
