Mild Steel Edging
Our Mild Steel Edging is a commercial‑grade landscaping border, engineered and fabricated in the UK to an exceptional standard. It provides a strong, long‑lasting edge for paths, lawns, driveways, and contemporary garden designs.
This edging is available in two thicknesses to suit different applications:
- 6mm Mild Steel Edging — robust and ideal for straight lines, yet flexible enough to form gentle curves. As a guide, 6mm edging can form a circle with a diameter of around 5 metres. Standard length is 3 metres (6‑metre lengths available for larger orders).
- 3mm Mild Steel Edging — lighter, discreet, economical, and perfect for tighter curves and angles. Standard length is 2 metres (4‑metre lengths available on request).
Both formats include a pre‑attached joining system, creating neat, almost invisible joints between sections. The edging arrives un‑rusted and naturally develops its weathered finish over 3–6 months.
What’s Included
Each section of edging comes with:
- Welded stake sleeves and bolts on the unseen side
- Fixings for joining to the next section
- 40cm stakes (one every 70cm) — simply hammer in to secure the edge
This provides everything required to create straight lines or curves. The edging can be shaped on site; please refer to the installation guide.

- Prefabricated Corner Pieces for sharp 90° bends
- Joining Kits for trimming and re‑joining edging on site
- Includes pre‑drilled plate, nuts, bolts, and drill bit
- Available in Mild Steel and Corten for a perfect match
Available Depths
Recommended installation depth:
- Driveways & paths: bury half of the edging
- Borders: bury one third
Depth options:
- 75mm (3mm & 6mm) – best for borders
- 100mm (3mm & 6mm)
- 150mm (3mm & 6mm)
- 200mm (6mm only)
- 300mm (6mm only)
Minimum order quantity: 12 linear metres
- 6mm edging: increments of 3m (12, 15, 18…)
- 3mm edging: increments of 2m (12, 14, 16…)
Delivery
- Express Service: 7–10 working days (subject to stock)
- Standard Service: 14–21 working days (subject to stock)
We use self‑employed couriers to allow delivery of longer lengths. Edging is offloaded by hand; contact us if you require delivery onto bearers for mechanical handling.
Please inform us of any access restrictions at checkout to avoid delays or additional costs. Delivery prices may vary depending on weight, volume, fuel surcharges, currency changes, and location.
